We Thrive fulfills the mission by providing Independent Living Skills Services (ILS) & Supported Living Services (SLS) for clients living in the Alameda & Contra Costa County Areas.We consist of compassionate Independent Living Skills Coach & Personal Attendants & industry experts who are familiar with working with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, their families, and circle of network. We value continuous growth and education in our field and working diligently go above and beyond the industry standard.

Our Leadership Team


Samuel Kim PsyD., MA.C., MA. IOP. - Chief Executive Officer

Samuel worked as an adult case manager at the Regional Center of the East Bay since 2018 providing long-term case management, counseling, & developing individual program plan (IPP) for individuals with developmental/intellectual disability. He also provides community resource and consultations for Korean speaking community through his church. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada Reno in Clinical Psychology. Then, he received two Master of Arts degrees in Counseling Psychology & Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. After receiving his Master’s degrees, he received his Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University in Irvine. After graduation, he worked at a behavioral health hospital as a clinical case manager & milieu therapist, then, worked as an adult case manager at Regional Center of the East Bay. He has utmost commitment to serving persons with disabilities both in professional and personal life.



Carlos Cienfuegos MBA., MLS. - Business Consultant

Carlos D. Cienfuegos, MBA, has 10 years of business experience, including 5 years working with developmentally/intellectually disabled adults working in an adult day program and ILS/SLS agency. He has an Associate of Science concentration in Psychology from Northern Virginia Community College, a Bachelor of Science concentration in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from California State University, East Bay, and a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Leadership and Managing Organizational Change from Pepperdine University.
